Dave Harley was born in Ossining, New York, before moving to London and eventually settling in Essex. Dave's professional career started in Spain in 1987, where he was approached by a talent scout for Club 18-30 and asked to work as a representative providing entertainment. He worked for two years in Portugal and one year in Spain. After leaving Club 18-30 he travelled back to Portugal where he worked freelance for a year headlining an Elvis show, culminating with a performance to 2000 people at an outdoor live concert. In 1991 Dave returned to England and formed two bands, the first 'X-Certificate', and more recently 'Dave Harley and The Firebirds'. Dave has also travelled to Memphis, Tennessee and recorded the Elvis hit 'Don't' Be Cruel' at the Memphis recording studios, the master of which is a cherished piece of Dave Harley memorabilia.
Dave has performed on Sky Television and has now built up a strong professional reputation, performing at regular functions and celebrities parties including Dennis Waterman and Robert Powell. He has performed many times at Charity functions including Leukaemia Research and a celebrity Christmas charity function at the London Hospital. Recently Dave has been working as an Elvis correspondent for many radio stations and television channels, such as The History Channel and has appeared on Ideal World Shopping Channel helping to sell Rock n Roll and Elvis CD's. He also writes regular reviews for magazines such as 'The Edge' magazine and the 'Elvis Times' and has been interviewed in 'The Guardian'. Dave also appeared in a Channel 4 show featuring his time as a Club 18-30 rep, with an interview on Essex FM to promote the show. (Now being repeated, for details see music & film Page)

Dave now dedicates his musical talents to solo gigs, where he will perform a wide selection of songs by many different artists, for example;
The Rolling Stones, The Everley Brothers, Robbie Williams, The Monkees, The Beatles, Elvis, Oasis, The Kinks, The Troggs, Fleetwood Mac, Scissor Sisters, Buddy Holly, Travis, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more.
He performs an Elvis Show with or without jumpsuit.
Your gig can be tailor made to your personal requirements, for example, you can have a 45 minute set of Elvis and a further 45 minute set of everything else. If the party is rockin, you can arrange some extra time. You can also book dave to turn up with his guitar to sing you an informal accoustic set.
